As automated gates become a more common part of the design in commercial, public, industrial and multiple occupancy buildings, the industry is facing increasing pressure to ensure gates are properly installed and maintained in order to prevent injury or death.
Gate Safety Week is an initiative developed by the dhf, a not-for-profit trade association for the automatic gate industry, with the aim to educate the general public about the dangers associated with powered gates.
This year's Gate Safety Week campaign is running from 9 - 15th October with a focus on raising awareness on school sites.
As an increasing number of children pass through automatic gates on a daily basis, it is vital to be aware of any potential dangers.
Helping to make gates safe has always been our primary vision here at IN2 Access. Having been part of the dhf Powered Gate Group from its inception has helped in getting this message out to the industry.
The Gate Safety Week initiative has produced a vital message that we encourage all of our customers to adopt: #SafeGatesSaveLives
