IN2 Access has won the first-ever Shrewsbury Colleges Group ‘Employer of the Year’ award.
The awards ceremony was held at Shrewsbury College earlier in November to celebrate the work of successful apprentices and local businesses closely supporting the College.
‘Employer of the Year’ award winners, IN2 Access and Control Ltd., have taken on a total of eight apprentices through the College in recent years.
A panel of judges representing the College granted IN2 Access the award based on their continued commitment in providing multiple apprenticeship placements and the high-level of support given to those in training.
“IN2 Access has offered full-time jobs to seven of their successful apprentices and the company’s three Directors see them as being key to the future success of the business” - James Staniforth, Principle and CEO - Shrewsbury Colleges Group.
IN2 Access, who supplies products to the gate, barrier, industrial and pedestrian door markets, has committed itself to supporting local people wanting to develop new skills ranging from warehousing and production to business administration and accounting.
“We really orientate ourselves towards supporting apprentices because helping them fit into the business world is really important to us.
We want to employ young people and help guide them through a significant stage in their career.
As an organisation, we encourage our apprentices to move forward with their careers, within this business or elsewhere in the future." - Mark Buchan, Director - IN2 Access and Control Ltd.
Mr Staniforth added: “Director Mark Buchan is totally committed to monitoring each individual’s progress. He attends all employer reviews and requests feedback after each assessment visit.
“Mark is an enthusiastic, well-respected and committed leader – all staff in the organisation work hard thanks to his support. In turn, they are rewarded for their dedication.”
The award comes at a time of significant growth for IN2 Access as they continue to recruit for several strategic appointments.
